two half-hour search. an officer spotted the man wanted on an arrest and then a car chase began. man crashed and then ran from the car. after police brought in dogs -- brought in dogs, they did find him. they would not say who he was or why he was wanted. >> i can't go into the details. it's still an active investigation. we took the individual in custody. >> authorities locked down two nearby schools during the search. martin luther king elementary and west oakland middle school. an east bay teacher is under arrest. the middle school teacher and coach from albany is suspected of having an inappropriate relationship with a former student. claudine wong joins us live to

the victim was targeted. san francisco police moved in overnight and cleared out occupy protesters in the area around the federal reserve building. ktvu's christien kafton tells you why they moved in now on an encampment that's been there for more than a year. >> reporter: av more than a year, ongoing camp camping at the -- camping at the federal reserve building, police say they issued the warning to disperse. a handful of protests left. >> we gave them a warning and some people left on their own. the remaining people who stayed behind got arrested for illegal lodging. >> reporter: a handful of protesters showed up and began to taunt officers. then the department of public works moved in to clean the site. as workers arrived, they

here. so it will be hard. campbell hopes to save $100 million. they have tomato processing facilities in dixon and stockton. after the closure, there will still be 2100 workers in the state. several campus workers are holding rallies at uc berkeley to protest the play off of five staff workers. protesters say the five laid off workers should be given an opportunity to work at other departments. they also want the university to support a state senate -- a state senate bill that would allow graduate union researchers to unionize. according to the "chronicle" this plan may include to merge and layoff. there's also speculation that the castro street campus could

breeze. with that inland spots on track to reach the mid-90s. flirting with 100 degrees. and the coast clearing skies and low 70s, possibly approaching the mid-70s as well. as far as temperatures for today, no major heat out there but still warming out towards -- towards fair -- towards fairfield, 9. you will find a few 90s out towards antioch and brentwood. san francisco, forecast high, 63 but definitely bundle up if you are heading to the coast. here is a look ahead to your five-day forecast. not much change for your friday. there is the change for the weekend. saturday we do warm things up. sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend, monday, the hottest day of the period, that means warmest locations inland in the upper 90s. the beaches in the mid- to upper 70s approaching 80 degrees. i think by monday we'll start to get complaints in the weather center about that heat.
